it's difficult question for a number of reasons...the biggest reason is, most "common" Japanese doesnt buy keyboard as single item, they think keyboard is accessory of vendor PC.
so to speak, all single-item keyboards are not popular or SONY/NEC/FUJITSU's cheap accessory keyboards have most population.
we pc-gamer often says "Gaming Keyboard", but in fact the keyboard good for gaming is good for common use, it equals "High-grade Keyboard" I think.
most gaming keyboards are compatible for common using, except with many unnecessary macro buttons - like Microsoft MultiMedia Keyboard and Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard lol
